Ceramic piece with traditional Ukrainian Motanka Doll
Guardian
Passage
The “Guardian Passage” is an art installation intertwining images inspired by traditional Ukrainian Motanka dolls and poetry. This installation stemmed from my search for a verbal and visual vocabulary expressing despair and anguish brought by the Russian war on Ukraine, and the unbreakable spirit of resilience. The pairings of poems and images on the ceramic tiles form a Guardian Passage, a pass to victory.
